Boudica is a platform that aims to give visibility to Trans+, Non-Binary and Female-Identifying artists working within the electronic music industry. Founded by Samantha Togni in 2019, Boudica has since evolved into an international club series, music conference and record label. With residences at FOLD, The Pickle Factory and E1, alongside holding Boudica Music Conference at the likes of Freemasons’ Hall and MAMBo, they champion the voices of gender minorities in the music industry by placing them at the heart of cultural institutions. In their attempts to amplify the work of young and upcoming artists from marginalised communities, Boudica has kickstarted initiatives such as DJ and Producer callouts, DJ Workshops in collaboration with Pioneer DJ’s ‘Start From Scratch’ and Mentorship Hubs with Industry Trailblazers. As a result, Bouica’s interdisciplinary work is supported by Arts Council England, Downtown Music, Musicians’ Union and Resident Advisor.
